FORUM FRIENDS MEET 23rd April, 2006
Brian & Linda Mangini - Queen Victoria Market
Hi All - who read my blog.
Today was a special day. I picked up Ted (Trisha) and Lyn and headed into the city centre to pick up our interstate visitors, Linda and her hubby Brian. We showed them a little of marvellous Melbourne by driving over the Westgate Bridge both ways and then back toward Melbourne on the Bolte Bridge. Big scenic views of the Yarra River and the CBD - you could even see as far as the Macedon Mtn range where Ted and I live. Thanks Ted for the directions or I would have got us totally lost - right Lyn B - we got lost in the city on a previous occassion. (giggle)

Cultural Dancers at the Victoria Market

We strolled up and down the isles in the Queen Victoria Market after that scenic drive and found free entertainment. The dancers were bright and happy and the music was toe-tapping (and loud) but I didn't find out which country they were representing. I think it was a South American country but can't be sure.

We asked Brian to take this photo of us four forum friends. No Ted is not taking her pulse, I think she is showing us her new beaded bracelet that Lyn made her in a previous swap. Gorgeous Lyn.

Ronnie & Ted - Lyn & Linda

After the morning at the market we dropped Lyn, Linda and Brian at the Royal Melbourne Zoo for a pleasant afternoon strolling around. We did ask Brian not to go to close to the Chimp cage, he may be mistaken as a missing member. Hope you had a lovely time there Lyn and Linda - due to another commitment Ted and I had to get going home.

Brian & Ted, Lyn & Linda

It was a lovely day out and thanks Linda & Brian for sharing it with us. Ted kept us laughing and giggling like girls do and Brian we do hope we weren't too silly. It was a pleasure to meet you both. Thanks also to Lyn's DH, Mick, for picking her up at the Zoo later in the day.

Hugs to all

Ronnie
