Lynda's first row above (Log Cabin) andRonnie's row below (Laced Star)
"Laced Star" Row by Row Swap
Lynda H's 2nd row.
Hi All,

I have been a little remiss in not popping in to update my own blog site for a while now. I've been busy making crafty stuff for a stall in early March and I'll post a new message about that soon.

The pics above are for a "Row by Row" swap where we make a row to suit the owner's first row and theme (if any) and the pic above is of Lynda H's 2nd row. It was a while before an inspiration came to mind but when it did I was pleased to get going and interrupt the craft stall "stuff" and get on with it. The flash on the camera went off (I don't know how to turn the flash off) so the background colour is showing a lot lighter than it's caramel/cream marbled look that it is. It does tone in with the caramel colours in the first row. The new added colour is a rich dark teal blue/green with black fern like flowers on it. So glad I've got a little of this left to make something else with it as I love the colour. Was so swayed to use a heritage green until I saw this fabric.
The blocks are paper pieced - not a requirement for this row, but since I've been practising and thoroughly enjoying the accuracy I tried the "Laced Star" block.
Hoping Lynda H likes it as much as I enjoyed making it.
Must away and get on with my day
Keep happy and healthy everyone.
Ronnie

Amelie and Maurice

Hi All,

Here's a pic of two recent swaps received. Maurice and Tennis Teddy. Tennis Teddy was ren-named Amelie after Amelie Mauresmo won the women's Australian Open Tennis Championship.

Thanks to Linda in WA for Amelie (Sports Swap) and my only keen sport is watching the tennis - I don't play anything - except games. Amelie loves the tennis too and mumbles under her breathe about the game. I told Linda and she suggested that it was because she had "birthing problems" - I have to agree. Amelie certainly has attitude and as she watched most of the tennis with me until Maurice arrived, she has proved to be a dominant force.

Thanks also to Lyn B (Victoria) for Maurice (Teddy Swap). He is a quiet little fellow with his own patchwork hanky. Amelie and Maurice are now friends but Amelie mutters under her breathe when she can't watch tele with me. Maurice is calming her down and being very gentle with her. They spend all day chatting.
