My Sewing Group FriendsHere's the banner made for our local Council, Macedon Ranges Shire Council. It was commissioned for the events to be held locally (Macedon Ranges/Gisborne area). This pic was taken on 3rd March, 2006, in the park opposite the Gisborne Library (where we meet each Friday afternoon). I have been a little slack updating the blog but better late than never.
The banner has a pic of four of the main town's landmarks on the bottom row, e.g. the Fountain in Gisborne, the Clocktower in Woodend, the Cross on Mt Macedon and the Bluestone Bridge at Riddells Creek. The top row shows the Sth African Flag and our Aussie Flag - apparently our Council has a sister city in Sth Africa, pardon my ignorance - I don't know which city in Sth Africa.
Council was tickled pink with the effort put into the banner and sent around the local press to take our pic for the newspaper - it's not worth putting it on the blog since we were all so disappointed in it being only about 2" square and you couldn't see the banner anyway. The reporter got our name wrong and it is also a out of focus. Not happy.........Jannnn !!
